Carlos Tevez returned to set up Samir
Nasri's winner as Manchester City beat Chelsea to reduce Manchester
United's Premier League lead to a point.
City had the best of the first half with Nasri hitting the bar.
But, with the hosts failing to clear a corner, Gary Cahill swept in on the hour thanks to a Yaya Toure deflection.
City equalised via a Sergio Aguero penalty, before
substitute Tevez's clever reverse pass put in Nasri for a delightful
chip over Petr Cech.
Having looked uninspired for much of the game, Tevez's
introduction gave Roberto Mancini's side the added component they needed
to maintain their championship challenge.
It was the first time the Argentine has played since he
allegedly refused to play during the Champions League game with Bayern
Munich in September last year.
His intervention helped City continue their 100% record
at the Etihad this season, their 20th straight victory setting a new
Premier League record.
For Chelsea, the defeat marked the first of Roberto di
Matteo's five games in charge since taking over from Andre Villas-Boas.
