Mancherter City 3 - 2 Sporting Lisbon (3-3 agg) goals highlights

Manchester City went out of the Europa League despite an impressive second-half fightback against Sporting Lisbon.
Trailing 1-0 in the last-16 tie from the first leg, City fell further behind when Matias Fernandez's sublime free-kick doubled Sporting's lead. Ricky van Wolfswinkel made it 2-0 on aggregate from close range before Sergio Aguero reduced the deficit. Mario Balotelli's penalty made it 2-2 but Sporting advanced on the away goals rule despite Aguero's late winner.

In a dramatic tie, keeper Joe Hart went close to winning it for City in the dying seconds with a powerful header which Rui Patricio, his opposite number, did well to save. Yet when the dust settles on an absorbing night's action, City's spineless first half performance, combined with the 1-0 defeat in Portugal, left them with too much to do.
City must now win the Premier League title if they are to avoid a trophy-less season. Source
